Swimming plan aiming at tuition of school-aged children - basic swimming skills

Title: Swimming plan aiming at tuition of school-aged children - basic swimming skills Objective: The aim of the work is to create teaching material for a swimming school focused on practicing basic swimming skills (BSS). Methods: The research sample was evaluated in the first lesson to determine their initial skills using a standardized scale. Exercises and activities related to the topic of the work were included in subsequent swimming lessons. Observations and insights were drawn from their practical use for further application. A final output evaluation was conducted in the last lesson. The data from both evaluations were finally compared using the arithmetic mean (x ) and the median (Med(x)). Results: The output values showed improvement in almost all students. Out of thirty-eight participants, ten students achieved the maximum number of points, while another ten lost only one or two points. The remaining eighteen students did not achieve such scores, but visible progress was still recorded in the results. KEYWORDS swimming, swimming lessons, non-swimmers, basic swimming skills
Infant and Toddler Swimming from the age of 6 months up to the age of two years

In this work, we dealt with the swimming of infants and toddlers from the age of six months within two years, and by practicing their basic swimming skills. The aim of this work was to compile educational swimming programs for three age categories of children. The first program was detailed and designed for infants aged six to nine months. Due to its scope, the second program was briefly written and was intended for infants from nine to twelve months. The third program was designed for toddlers from twelve months to two years, according to its scope is written more briefly than the first program. The main goals and ascents are listed in this swimming program.
Swimming instruction of mentally handicapped individual and his/her integration - Down's syndrome

The subject of the diploma thesis concerns the integration of mentally handicapped individuals into the group of standard population in the course of preparatory training of swimming. The aim of the thesis is the evaluation and charting of the problem of the Down syndrome and on the basis of the results the proposal and verification of the conception of integration of the handicapped person. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is based upon the characteristics of the specific traits of mentally handicapped individuals, it explains the terms of the Down syndrome, it explains the integration of mentally handicapped individuals, and it informs about the swimming as a means of integration into the society. The practical part of the diploma thesis described the course of the research work, it characterizes the studied group of individuals, it includes the results of testing (Štochl, 2002) and it registers the acquiring of the respective aptitudes. The results are evaluated by verbal description as well as by the form of graphs. The practical part includes also the preparation of the conception of social integration of mentally handicapped individuals, which has been prepared on the basis of analysis of specialized literature and on the basis of practical and theoretical experience. Swimming training at the lower school of primary schools

This thesis is aimed on the topic of swimming training on the first grade of primary school. The theoretical part is processed according to available resources, history and importance of swimming, characterized by basic swimming training of children at school age and younger. The practical part is focused on the research sample, a swimming schools and children who participated in basic swimming training. Following sections of this thesis are analyzing the research sample, which consists of swimming instructors in selected schools. This research sample was examined in terms of detection effectiveness and impact of swimming training on the results of graduate (or maturity) of swimming courses. This thesis map the swimming training of primary school students, especially in terms of periodicity and teaching effectiveness. The aim of the thesis is to elaborate a comprehensive overview of the current situation in basic swimming training.
